    At Mission Dolores Academy, we strive to meet the community' needs by maintaining affordable tuition fees. In its 11-year history, MDA has only raised tuition 2.5%. Tuition assistance is available to families that qualify.

Tuition Assistance

There are four available funding sources for tuition assistance: The BASIC Fund, The Guardsmen, Archdiocese of San Francisco, Tier II Assistance 

Families are welcome to apply for all of these assistance programs.

  • The BASIC Fund

    The BASIC Fund is a privately-funded organization providing partial-tuition scholarships to low-income families across the Bay Area, helping them afford the cost of tuition at the private school of their choice. The BASIC Fund offers scholarships up to a maximum of $2,000 per student. Applications go live in early January.

  • Archdiocese of San Francisco

    The Archdiocese of San Francisco awards up to $500 in tuition assistance to qualifying families. You must create an account at mytads.com and complete the financial aid assessment. You will be asked to submit required financial documentation (usually, your most recent tax return forms, paycheck stubs, and/or proof of CalWORKS/CalFRESH).
  • Mission Dolores Academy's Tuition Assistance Program

    Families that demonstrate significant and compelling financial need will be considered for tuition assistance directly from MDA. As a rule, qualifying families must first be eligible for The Basic Fund and complete the TADS application.

  • The BASIC Fund

    El BASIC Fund es una organización con fondos privados que ofrece becas de matrícula parcial a familias de bajos ingresos en el Área de la Bahía, ayudándolas a pagar el costo de matrícula en la escuela privada de su elección. El Fondo BASIC ofrece becas hasta un máximo de $2,000 por estudiante. Las aplicaciones se publicarán a principios de enero.

  • Archdiocese of San Francisco

    La Arquidiócesis de San Francisco otorga hasta $500 en asistencia para la matrícula a las familias que califican.   • Mission Dolores Academy's Tuition Assistance Program
