  • Nurturing Academics in Each Student at MDA

In partnership with its families, Mission Dolores Academy strives to nurture academic excellence in each student, cultivating an environment that supports its scholars in becoming insightful, informed, and compassionate young adults.
The school seamlessly combines the traditional with the innovative as it helps to develop confident lifelong learners.

MDA’s curriculum is Common Core Standards-based and our foundational reading program is grounded in the Science of Reading. Additionally, K-4 Teachers and Interventionists are trained in the explicit, systematic phonics instruction.

In addition to our core curriculum, with instruction in Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Religion, students take Spanish, Physical Education, Art, Music and Drama.

MDA's Core Curriculum is grounded in educational research in literacy and mathematics.
